Abstract

We are developing a remote sensing technique to determine the atmospheric Cn2 profile for ranges of up to 2.5 km using a modified backscatter lidar. Determination is made of the angle of arrival of backscattered laser light in the lidar system. Cn2 is calculated from these measurements using the standard weak turbulence model.
