Water vapor DIAL measurements using an injection seeded Alexandrite ring laser

Abstract

To investigate the effect of water vapor and temperature distribution on weather and climate both night- and daytime measurements in the whole troposphere with high spatial and temporal resolution are required. For daytime measurements the DIAL method has clear advantages over the Raman technique.
