Abstract

A large set of laboratory transmission spectra of water vapor within the v2 band has been collected and analyzed in order to better understand its pressure broadening characteristics. Topics considered in this study include an examination of the low J H216O N2-broadened Lorentz line-widths, determination of the self- and N2-broadened continuum coefficients, and an examination of the near- to intermediate-wing lineshape of N2-broadened water vapor. The spectra were collected using a BOMEM FTS and a White-type multi-pass absorption cell. Details concerning the experimental set-up and data collection process can be found elsewhere [1].
