Abstract

Many applications employ Fabry-Perot interferometers as spectral-resolving elements. In the past, the spectral distribution had to be measured using multi-channel circular detectors1. In the absence of circular detectors the output light must to be transformed into a linear pattern, which usually means the Fabry-Perot is not being optimally utilized or that a large fraction of the light is lost.
