Geometrical Impact on Guided Mode Excitation in Solar Cells

Abstract

We investigate the influence of patterned metallic back reflector on absorption in thin-film silicon photovoltaics. The impact of symmetry, periodicity, and angle of incidence of light is discussed by simulation and experiment.
