Design and Analysis of Compact Optical Concentrators for Roof-Integrated Solar Thermal Applications

Abstract

This paper presents a new type of compact (focal distance < 10cm), catadioptric concentrating solar thermal collector at 4.5X~5.9X with an average optical efficiency of 66~69% during the middle 6 hours of a sunny day.
