Abstract

Crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cells with monofacial polysilicon-based passivated contacts (monoPoly cells) may have high parasitic absorption at near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths. In this work, we show that NIR absorption can be significantly suppressed in monoPoly cells such that it is comparable to standard reference cells.
