Optical Tweezers Shed Light on Cell Motility

Abstract

Optical tweezers are an elegant platform for the biochemical and mechanical stimulation of live cells. I will discuss the application of holographic optical tweezers to chemotaxis in neutrophils and mechanotransduction in neurons.
