Light Driven Quasi Autonomous Rotor Microrobots

Abstract

Autonomous rotor microrobots are designed and built that move on a horizontal flat surface driven by light illuminating vertically the area of motion. The peculiar conditions of achieving rotational motion in such geometry are discussed.
