Optical Trapping and Diagnostic Analysis of Au Nanoparticles Using Photonic Crystal Slot Cavity at sub-mW Laser Power

Abstract

We report our recent advances in using silicon-on-insulator (SOI) photonic integrated circuits for trapping sub-60nm gold spheres and rods with sub-mW laser powers and using transmission time-series histograms analysis to model the dynamics of trapped nanoparticles.
