Comparing Two-Photon Excitation Modalities for Fast, Large-Scale Recording of Neuronal Activity in Rodents

Abstract

We evaluate a new approach for large-volume calcium imaging based on an enlarged, sculpted point-spread function (PSF). We show numerical results and compare our findings to more conventional two-photon imaging modalities based on diffraction-limited PSFs.
