Using a Linear Electrodynamic Quadrupole as a Particle Trap

Abstract

We describe a linear electrodynamic quadrupole trap to interrogate particles in a controlled environment. Single or multiple particles ranging in size from 0.5 um to above 100 um can be held indefinitely for study.
