Abstract

Two-photon fluorescence of Rhodamine B (RhB) measured relative to hyper-Rayleigh scattering of para-nitroaniline (pNA) gives the absolute two-photon absorption cross section of RhB at λ = 1064 nm, δ = 2.2 ± 0.2 × 10-50 cm4 s, and is 3-9 × smaller than previous results.
