Novel Optical Contrast in Cancer: Cherenkov radiation in radiotherapy and in nuclear medicine

Abstract

Multi-parameter functional image guidance is demonstrated to regularize NIRS tomography with both MRI dynamic contrast and water diffusion. This approach shows increased contrast in the tumors from approximately 1.76 to 2.23, relative to a regular MRI guidance approach.
