Abstract

Patients with age-related macular degeneration have their life-styles dramatically altered due to the loss of central foveal vision.3,4 Various methods have been advanced to assist their vision, primarily through the use of magnification of the image on the retina. Some of these utilize the Galilean telescope principle1-5.
