Abstract

Patients with age-related macular degeneration have their life-styles dramatically altered due to the loss of central foveal vision.^3,4 Various methods have been advanced to assist their vision, primarily through the use of magnification of the image on the retina. Some of these utilize the Galilean telescope principle^1-5.
