Abstract
In this paper we report on a new application of photoacoustic spectroscopy: Minority species concentration measurements inside a combustion region. As a proof of principle, we have applied the photoacoustic technique to the measurement of NO2 concentration in a flat-flame burner. Because of the sensitivity of this technique, it has the potential of developing into a very powerful combustion diagnostic tool.
