Application of PAS on the Investigation of Human Skin

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Applications of photoacoustic spectroscopy (UV and visible spectral range) in the field of dermatological research are discussed. The spectral properties of the various layers of the skin are studied and examples are given for their modification under some pathological conditions and by topically applied pharmaceutics.
