Electric Field Effects on Capillary Waves Using Surface Light Scattering Spectroscopy

Abstract

We report experiments demonstrating an electric field shift of the interfacial tension of SF6 close to critical conditions. Surface fluctuation spectra variations with field (up to 25KV/cm) were measured as a function temperature.
