Imaging Mie scattering from spheres in a fluid: the effects of refraction at an interface and high numerical aperture optics

Abstract

We have modeled the effects of a high numerical aperture microscope (phase transformation, scaling and polarization rotation) and refraction at an interface upon the Mie scattering from spheres in a fluid. Model predictions agree with CCD based measurements.
