Abstract

We present the operating principle and a first experimental characterization of a holographic rangefinder, that couples a two wave mixing phase demodulation set-up with a frequency modulated laser source. In its first implementation, the system allows millimeter sensitivity on tens of meters measurement range with the ability to work with scattering surfaces.
