Abstract

In order to realize a compact optical system with keeping capabilities of multiplexing storage in photorefractive holographic memories, we present a simplified technique based on the random pattern reference scheme by introducing a fiber bundle with a rotary movement. To test the validity of our approach, we perform an experiment of hologram multiplexing with a LiNbO3:Fe crystal. The result shows that the holograms can be separated without cross-talks by a rotation angle of 0.2 degrees.
