Abstract
Ce:Fe:LiNbO3 crystals with various [Li]/[Nb] ratios were grown by the Czochralski method from melts having compositions varying between 48.6-58mol% Li2O. The crystal structures were analyzed by the UV-Vis spectra and IR spectra. The photorefractive properties of Ce:Fe:LiNbO3 crystals were experimentally studied by using two-beam coupling. The results of the two-wave coupling experiments showed that, with the ratios of [Li]/[Nb] increasing, the diffraction efficiency decrease, but the response speed, photorefractive sensitivity and dynamic range increase.
