Photobleaching of broadband absorptions associated with the formation of single-pulse fiber Bragg gratings

Abstract

Broad spectral losses near 800 nm have been identified which arise concurrently with the formation of type 1 single-pulse fiber Bragg gratings. The losses can be reduced 7-fold with 640 nm light while minimally affecting Bragg reflectivity.
