Abstract

All-optical signal processing of digital signals will be used in future communication systems and possibly also for optical computing [1]. The all-optical implementation of the logic Exclusive-OR (EX-OR) operation is of great interest as it may be used, among other applications, for optical correlation between two independent signals or optical clock recovery.
