Space Division Photonic Switches Based On Generalized Mach-Zehnder Structures

Abstract

New Design formulas are presented for NxN space division photonic switches employing generalized Mach-Zehnder interferometers. It is shown how the switching capabilities of these devices can be extended so that re-arrangeably non-blocking switching can be achieved.
