Performance assessment of a liquid crystal multichannel photonic space-switch

Abstract

A highly versatile photonic space switch based on dynamic motionless beam steering using a liquid crystal spatial light modulator has been successfully demonstrated. The switch performance are shown to be compatible with current WDM requirements.
