A Multiwavelength RZ Pulse Source Generator Using an Ultra High-Speed All-Optical Wavelength Converter

Abstract

A new technique for obtaining a multiwavelength RZ source is demonstrated using simultaneous multiple wavelength conversion in dispersion shifted fiber. The output pulse quality is similar to the input pulse quality with respect to pulse-width and signal to noise ratio.
