A Novel Beamforming Network for Multiple Signals Based on an Optical Wavelength Selective Switch

Abstract

A novel architecture to drive phased arrayed antennas modules, based on photonics, is presented. The proposed architecture is capable of independently steer two signals at 12.5 and 37.5GHz, enabling an effective system for antenna remoting.
