Effective Wavelength and Core Selection for OPS Networks Reducing Inter-Core Crosstalk of Multicore Fiber

Abstract

We introduce a simple crosstalk index to efficiently switch packets in OPS networks, which counts spectrum overlaps causing inter-core crosstalk in MCFs. Our proposed wavelength and core selection reduces the crosstalk by exploiting this index.
