Elastic WDM optoelectronic crossbar switch with on-chip wavelength control

Abstract

We present an 8×8 ring resonator based crossbar switch for WDM networks in data centers. The switch can dynamically allocate bandwidth and is equipped with an on-chip wavelength reference for tuning the ring resonators to the specific channels.
