Softwarized Dynamic Optical Switching Network Suppressing Transient Optical Power in Link Failures

Abstract

We propose a simultaneous 1:1 protection framework to support softwarized dynamic optical network. We experimentally show that burst-tolerated optical amplifiers enable recovery with no transient signal degradation in 9 seconds for a link failure.
