How to Create a Simple Control Mechanism with Low Latency for Intra Data Center Optical Switching Networks

Abstract

Implementing optical circuit switching in intra data centers demands latencies superior to those of conventional electrical packet networks. A single-tier large port count optical switch with parallelism is shown to achieve desired latencies.
