Absorption Enhancement in an Amorphous Si Solar Cell through Localized Surface Plasmon-induced Scattering with Metal Nanoparticles

Abstract

Absorption enhancement of an amorphous Si solar cell is numerically demonstrated by placing metal and dielectric nanoparticles on the top, including periodical and non-periodical distributions, to induce localized surface plasmon for effectively generating forward scattering.
