Optical Design for Broadband Super-Absorption in Sparse Arrays of III-V Nanowire Arrays for Photoelectrochemical and Photovoltaic Applications

Abstract

We report the experimentally-measured, strong light absorption (60-100%) properties of geometrically-uniform sparse (<5% fill fraction) III-V NW arrays, and optical design methods for further broadband absorption enhancements based on FDTD simulations and analytical calculations.
