Photochemical Photon Upconversion for Solar Energy and More

Abstract

Quantum solar energy-convertors, such as solar cells, only absorb photons above a threshold energy. By photochemical means, we harvest sub-threshold photons and combine them to yield usable photons, boosting attainable energy-conversion efficiencies.
