Wavelength selective light trapping for tandem solar cells on silicon

Abstract

We quantify the efficiency gains for tandem-on-silicon solar cells with wavelength-selective light trapping. Extending the analytical Lambertian formalism from broadband to selective light trapping, we present candidate self-assembled structures that achieve the necessary optical response.
