Ultra-high efficiency photovoltaics via diffractive optics

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

In this presentation, I will show that planar diffractive optics can drastically increase the efficiency of photovoltaics via spectrum-splitting and concentration of sunlight. Such optics can be inexpensively manufactured to cover large areas.
