Optimizing Free-Space Luminescent Solar Concentrator Façades for Building-Integrated Photovoltaics

Abstract

We computationally optimize the escape cone of a free-space luminescent solar-concentrator façade for a solar-fence, solar-road, and solar-car park, leading to an enhancement of 36%, 21%, and 25%, respectively, relative to a white-painted façade (reflectance=0.85).
