Chirped-AM 3-D imaging laser radar for DOD applications

Abstract

ARL is researching scannerless ladar technology utilizing FM/cw architectures. DOD applications include ground- and air-based reconnaissance and target acquisition/identification and robotic vehicle navigation. We show breadboard ladar data that demonstrate the merits of 3-D imagery.
