Porous Si sensors with integrated photonic circuits and a bias-free RF transmitter for sensor networks

Abstract

We present an integrated RF-photonic sensor module that combines a porous silicon sensor with a DBR structure, a polymer-based waveguide array, and a bias-free, optically powered RF transmitter. The sensor output was encoded in the frequency shift of the RF radiation.
