Micro Optics for the Filtering and Shaping of Ultrashort Optical Pulses

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

An axicon is known to generate a “non-diffractive” Bessel beam in the near-field or a ring illumination in the far-field. Here, we discuss the use of axicons for coupling and beam shaping, for spatial and temporal applications.
