Designing Metamaterial Structures for Controlling Optical Processes

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Resonant metamaterial structures are designed to have almost unit absorbance over selected frequencies bands. Simple metamaterial structures, optimized from both the viewpoints of performance and fabrication, can show single-band, multi-band and even controllable saturable absorption.
