Photo-Induced Patch Antenna for Frequency and Beam Reconfiguration

Abstract

A novel photo-induced mm wave patch antenna is created dynamically by optically illuminating silicon to generate a high conductivity region. By changing the illumination pattern the resonant frequency and radiation pattern can be reconfigured.
