Super Luminescent Diode with a Fabry-Perot Etalon for Measurement of CO2 and C2H2 in a Gas Mixture

Abstract

Mixed gas sensing based on a broad-band super-luminescent diode (1535 nm) coupled with an external Fabry-Perot etalon for C2H2 and CO2 is proposed and demonstrated. The wavelength tuning by tilting the etalon will provide selective gas sensing by absorption spectroscopy technique.
