Bidirectional FWM scheme for entangled photon generation in optical fibers

Abstract

We propose a bidirectional FWM scheme to generate entangled photon pairs. Simulation shows 49% increase in signal power and 33% decrease in pump power required to obtain same conversion efficiency as in the unidirectional pumping.
