Electromagnetically induced transparency in Doppler broadened inverted Y-type systems

Abstract

We study the EIT of a probe field in a Doppler broadened four level inverted Y-type atomic system. Effects of various wave-vector mismatch occurring when the coupling field frequency is higher, equal or lesser than that of the probe field frequency are considered.
