Abstract

In this paper, the variable-coefficient modified nonlinear Schrödinger model investigated, which describes the ultrashort dark one-soliton pulse evolution and propagation dynamics with the distributed dispersion, self-phase modulation, self-steepening and linear gain/loss. The dark one-soliton solution is obtained with Hirota’s bilinear method.
