A Novel Optical Control Plane for Translucent WDM Optical Networks

Abstract

We propose a novel optical control plane (P-OCP) that disseminates network component information to all the network nodes and evaluates routes considering signal quality. Results show that P-OCP obtains low blocking and acceptable lightpath setup-times.
