Effective Index Modulation Based Fiber Bragg Grating Humidity Sensor

Abstract

Fiber Bragg grating based relative humidity sensor employing effective-index-modulation rather than traditional strain-modulation is reported. Sensor development is carried out to achieve throughout linear response over a wide dynamic RH range with optimum performance parameters.
