Temperature Dependence of Operational Characteristics of Semiconductor Optical Amplifier

Abstract

We present a study of SOA using Connelly model, which shows that, under typical operating conditions, 20 K rise in temperature, results in a decrease of 3 dB in peak gain, and an increase of 150 ps in recovery time.
